How do I convert yards to feet?
Multiply by 3. 5 yards is 15 feet, and the 10 yards an American football team needs for a first down is 30 feet.
For anything that isn't a whole number of yards, multiply the decimal as well: 2.5 yards is 7.5 feet, or 7 ft 6 in.
