How do you convert meters to millimeters?
Multiply by 1,000. 1.8 m is 1,800 mm and 0.75 m is 750 mm.
Builders and kitchen fitters work almost entirely in millimetres, so a 2.4 m worktop goes on the drawing as 2,400 mm.
It saves arguing over decimal points on site, which is the whole idea.
