How do you convert meters to centimeters?
Move the decimal point two places to the right, ie multiply by 100. 1.75 m is 175 cm and 0.4 m is 40 cm.
The only trap is a mixed reading like 1 m 8 cm, which is 108 cm, not 180 cm.
